While my interests and influences are varied and continue to evolve over time, as a potter I am constantly striving to find the balance between spontaneity and restraint, between complexity and functionality.

The everydayness of seemingly ordinary things, along with their imperfections, raises them to a place of honor.

The pieces I create are meant to be part of our homes and our lived experiences.

They are the everyday vessels for how we eat and drink.

They foster the connections that we forge through the gatherings of friends and at family celebrations.

As such, my work focuses on appreciating beauty that is impermanent and incomplete, beauty that reveals itself over time. This process is continued by a person’s use of each piece in their daily routine. The pots are meant to be worn with age and hopefully offer new meaning with each encounter.
